FERRY RUN & LUNCH WITH THE COORONG MECHANICAL RESTORERS CLUB

Updated: Dec 7, 2018

A very well organised run indeed, we arrived at the Colman Tce car park to find a great turnout of members and their cars on Sun 17th June 2018.

The convoy continued to Wellington where we met up with a very good turnout of Meningie members at a small parking area about 2 kms down the Jervois Road. After introducing or reintroducing ourselves as the case may be and inspecting each other’s vehicles we proceeded to cross the Murray River on our first ferry continu-ing on to all meet at the Riverside Hotel at Tailem Bend.

On being seated in a private area we had a great selection of food ranging from $19 to $33 with something to suit all. From what we had it was really good.

On leaving we visited a local collection of all sorts of “junk”, lots being of a mechanical nature that many found of great interest, it even had complete vehicles.

As half of our contingent of vehicles went either via the Welling-ton or Jervois ferries on leaving Tailem Bend we took the reverse ferry home to complete the two ferry run. Everyone making their own way home.
