This was the second time this year that the ladies day events have occurred having been voted a success last Wednesday August 6th for another enjoyable day for the 11 SACC ladies attending with further events to be advised every first Wednesday of every second month.
Meeting at Coleman terrace we shared a car pool and travelled on to Langhorne Creek for an great day, with the following members in the group:
Jenny Howard; Marylyn Bell; Rae Mighall; Vivien Pegler; Noreen Smith; Cheryl Pullman; Lynne Hall; Vicki Loffler; Carmel Shell; Carlien Vandenakker & Di Thorpe
The first stop was to spend time at THE Hub Old School House but unfortunately it was not open as arranged so they gathered at the local Deli for coffee and cake before walking to the
The Backdrop Gallery where local Artist Zilpa demonstrated her wax painting skills resulting in two of our ladies booking a workshop. From there a walk to the Local Post Office was decided as a fill in of time before travelling back to Belvidere to The Vineyard Road Winery for lunch. Noreen Smith's daughter is the Post Office owner so we were privileged to be shown through the back rooms of the Post Office under renovation for a Bed and Breakfast venue.
On arriving at the Winery our Host Karen welcomed us with chocolate samples and throughout the lunch we were served with a large selection of wine tastings - of course wine and chocolates where purchased before leaving. It was decided to share the Flammekuecke(Flama-coosh) platters across the table with a delightful choice of toppings and flavours - delicious!
Karen announced on an oncoming artistic event to be held at the Winery - three interested members of our group will be attending. The girls at Vineyard Winery were a delight said Di Thorpe.
With a sunny NO RAIN outing we were pleased with the day- a numerous vote to keep these outings ongoing. " A wonderful opportunity to share personal stories with lots of laughter and really getting to know each other"
The next Ladies Day outing will be held on Wednesday October 6th and more ladies are welcome to join the group.
