You can't help bad weather !
Despite drizzle and overcast conditions a great assembly of 21 vehicles made it for an early Sunday morning start at the Strathalbyn Airfield for the first Wings and Wheels event. Organised by Bill Runciman, it was hoped that up to 9 vintage planes would fly in from airfields from such as Rollo's, Goolwa, Aldinga, KI and Robe. Poor visibility prevented most from flying but 2 hardy crews made it. The flying club made us most welcome and thanks to sponsorship from Ben Finniss and Collectable Classics, provided as all with a hearty bacon and egg breakfast. There was a great display of Micro lights, Gyrocopters and light aircraft in the hangars for us to see and the flying club members had a good look at some of our cars. A huge thank you to Bill and his team, and we will wait and see what eventuates in the future.
