Club Weekender in Robe

Members book site or cabin themselves. At the end of September 17th 18th & 19th we are doing a weekend away in Robe. We have started a booking at the Sea Vu Caravan Park and they will give every member 10% off their booking for accommodation.  They have a number of cabins, some facing the water, some with suites, some without. So if you think you would like to go on this trip I suggest you ring and book very soon. Speak to Lisa or Sally, say you're with the Strathalbyn Car club and they will look after your booking. If you want to take your own caravan, then please book a powered sight and take your own van. The phone number is 87682273. By the end of September the weather should be starting to warm up slightly. So please get in and make your booking.  

If you think you would like to go on the weekend to Robe, I strongly suggest you get in and book, as I hear everyone jumped on this and bookings have gone boom, members have already booked cabins, others powered sights, so please if you think you want to go, get in and book so you don 't miss out. Also for those wonderful members who have put their name down for the Robe weekend, we have decided to spice it up and ask that you bring an outfit to suit the year of your vehicle. Give or take a year or two. It doesn't have to be exact, but on one of the days, we will do a group BBQ or Fish N Chip run and then ask you all to put on your outfits. If going but not taking your classics, then it's entirely up to you if you dress up or not, But I think several members are taking their classics for a run. You are still very welcome to come with or without your classics. That's on the 17th to 19th September, and staying at the Sea Vu Caravan Park. Could be lots of fun.

I believe there are still a couple of cabins available for our weekend trip to Robe, several people are going, some are taking their own vans, others are staying in the parks cabins, others are staying elsewhere due to the caravan park not allowing them to have their pets in their cabins. But they are still coming, which is fabulous.

I hope by now you have all read your information in the pack you were given, and know what is happening on your way down plus for the BBQ on the Saturday night. There is a huge supermarket and bakeries in Robe for anyone who wasn't aware. I have had a few people ask about the Saturday night and the dressing up, we are asking that you dress up to the era of your classic car. and there will be prizes for the best dressed male, female & couple. So if you make an effort and look good you may get a prize.

Also there are several members taking their classics, so if you were wondering if to take it, please do, as you definitely won't be the only one. For Those leaving on Friday morning, if we all leave Strathalbyn around 9, we should all meet at the bakery for morning tea. If you need further information please don't hesitate to contact me.
